What you can expect in this guide

In this guide, you will find comprehensive information and practical tips that are especially relevant for start-ups. First, you will get an overview of the basic requirements that you should fulfill as a start-up in order to get off to a successful start. Two important terms are also introduced: DAP (Delivered at Place) and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which play a central role in international shipping.

Simplified EU shipping

Special attention is paid to the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS), a simplified solution for DDP shipping within the European Union. In addition, special provisions for shipping to the UK are also covered.

Product overview – Shipping goods with Swiss Post

The rest of the guide provides you with a product overview of the various shipping solutions offered by Swiss Post and its partners. These include the "Small goods letter" product, which you can use to send goods weighing up to 2 kg within the EU with IOSS and worldwide duty unpaid with DAP, as well as "PostPac International", which you can use to send goods weighing up to 30 kg within the EU with IOSS and worldwide duty unpaid with DAP. For shipping within Europe up to a weight of 40 kg, the "Swiss Post GLS Parcels for Europe" product is available, which enables shipping with both DAP and DDP. If it is particularly urgent, the "URGENT" product offers the option of sending goods all over the world by express courier, also with the choice between DAP and DDP.
